Music played a significant role during WW2 for soldiers and those left at home, helping people to connect and providing a means of escape from daily hardships. Popular songs were upbeat, full of optimism, offering hope, or humorous and downright cheeky! Others captured a sense of longing for the way things were.

Our D-Day 80 concert at 7pm on Thursday, June 6th is one of commemoration to respect and reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who gave so much on D-Day 1944. Come along to experience a mix of music, images, original footage, reflections and readings of first-hand accounts.

And don’t forget to listen out for the church bells at 6.30pm, across Gower!
